Donald Trump visiting Texas' Rio Grande Valley

TEXAS: On Tuesday in the midst of planned impeachment proceedings, Trump is preparing to visit the Rio Grande Valley.

The White House didn’t give subtleties on Trump’s visit, which was first detailed by Brownsville TV station KVEO, however, it comes a week after the Department of Homeland Security authorities promoted the “noteworthy” completion of 450 miles of border fencing during his administration.

The Rio Grande Valley is the site of incensed legal and construction activity related to the border wall as U.S. Customs and Border Protection races to assemble new miles of fencing ahead of Inauguration Day.

“The agency aims to award new contracts for 300 miles of new fencing before Jan. 19”, CBP Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan said¬†earlier this week. After landing in Harlingen, Trump will take a helicopter to McAllen, KVEO said.

It is expected that Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick are not going to join Trump for the trip. On Tuesday for the opening day of the biennial legislative session, they will be in Austin as per their offices.
