DALLAS, TEXAS: As per the reports, a 27-year-old man has been arrested for a murder case five months after. Records show the man was found shot to death in West Dallas.

Mitchell Austin faces a murder charge in the slaying of Michael Jones, 26.

In the 3900 block of Harston Street near Canada Drive, officers were called around 9:30 p.m on August 14. The officer reached the scene and found Jones with gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to the hospital. He was pronounced dead there.

Till now police have not revealed anything that shows how Austin is connected to the case.

On Thursday evening, he was booked into the Dallas County jail. Authorities say until then his bail had not been set. It was not clear whether he had an attorney.

No detailed information regarding the case has been obtained.
